New Canon 36" L36ei MFP Color Scanner Module With Touch Screen Operation Panel
The L36ei scanner incorporates a SingleSensor assembly technology, which helps provide consistent and better color accuracy with more detail in the shadows and highlights than a staggered CIS array scanner.
The L36ei scanner contains a single component image sensor that is the full width of the scanner and has long-life LED Bi-directional illumination. Full-width image capture, as opposed to time-delayed scanning of separate sections, means less risk of misalignment of scan data. LEDs require virtually no warm-up time and provide a wide and consistent color gamut, with low power consumption and less potential for shadowing at creases

Overview
Canon's 36" L36ei MFP Color Scanner Module is a scan-to-copy and scan-to-file system intended for low-volume subcontractors, primary education, design offices, architectural firms, and reproduction companies. The scanner has a single image sensor that spans the entire width of the scanner. Full-width image capture, as opposed to time-delayed scanning of separate sections, reduces the risk of scanned data misalignment. The LEDs in the scanner require little warm-up time and provide a broad and consistent colour gamut. This reduces power consumption and the possibility of shadows and artefacts at creases and folds.
The scanner's maximum scan width is 36" and it can handle documents up to 38" wide. The maximum scan length is 109" and the unit can handle media up to 5mm thick. In addition to scan-to-copy, the L36ei supports scanning to USB, scanning to copy and archive, scanning to multiple PDFs, scanning to PC, and image reduction and enlargement. The scanner has a 600 dpi optical resolution and three different quality modes. Depending on the scan, you can select Draft, Standard, or Best Mode.
